Around 500 smallholders, organised as a cooperative in Antigua, a valley ringed by volcanoes in central Guatemala, grow this coffee at 1,500–1,600 metres in rich volcanic soil.
In the cup it is round and easy: plenty of sweet chocolate, soft acidity and a medium body, with a clean finish that never turns bitter.
Balanced enough for espresso and milk drinks, and just as pleasant as filter or French press.
